The aim of the MITIGACC project is to understand the ecological and biogeochemical effects of the spread of invasive species on the climate change mitigation service provided by native saltmarsh species. The project will study the impacts of invasive species on the fluxes and mechanisms involved in the carbon storage capacity of saltmarshes and on the temporal and spatial dynamics of the distribution of native species.<\/p>\n
